The CWC (Citizens Welfare Committee)
commenced in 1989. It was originally called the CWA but soon
changed to the CWC. The organisation was formed as a means
to raise money for people living with HIV/AIDS.
There were two cabarets a year. One on Australia Day and
the other six months later at the end of July.
Through the efforts of Paul Kratzman the Sportsman Hotel’s
manager the first ‘reborn’ CWC cabaret was held
back in the now renovated Holy Trinity Church Hall on 8 December
2007.
Because of this strong support from the Sportsman Hotel,
the CWC will go on and continue to assist people living with
HIV/AIDS.
The date for the next CWC cabaret
has been set for 26 September 2009 (click on the
ad to the right).
The organisation for this next CWC cabaret is well and truly
underway to ensure yet another huge success and a return
to the heady days of the CWC cabarets.
