Betty Nature who first performed at a CWC cabaret at the Blind Hall in 1996 became the compare of the CWC cabarets in July 2004.

QPP/QLD Pride decided to add a third cabaret a year to the format. After about 18 months Qld Pride decided their primary focus would be the annual Gay Pride Festival and so left QPP to go it alone.

During the renovations to the Holy Trinity Church Hall the CWC cabarets moved to the Ukrainian Hall at South Brisbane.

In May 2006 the CWC cabarets pretty much ran out of steam. Betty Nature realised that if the CWC cabarets were going to continue it would require the involvement of one of the major Brisbane Gay venues. The Sportsman Hotel was approached for its support.

Through the efforts of Paul Kratzman the Sportsman Hotel’s manager the first ‘reborn’ CWC cabaret was held back in the now renovated Holy Trinity Church Hall on 8 December 2007.
